I found out I was allergic to cats about two years ago and we have had a cat for about three. I have been around cats my most of my life and never had any type of allergic reaction to them. When I found out I was allergic to them I would still pet them a little then just wash my hands soon after and I would be fine. I have stop petting them cause I was scared that it could get worse. This last month has been so bad that I can’t be anywhere where the cat has been cause allergies just hit me. I can’t be in the living room more then a minute because I start sneezing so much. I have been having to stay in my room all the time because that is the only place that I can go where the cat is not allowed in.
I can’t get rid of it because it does not belong to me and even if it was mine I don’t think that I would have the heart to just get rid of him. That cat was born in this house and I’m pretty sure it will live the rest of it’s life here.
My question if is being allergic to a cat this much would it turn into asthma Or can it turn into something worse? And how or what is recommended for me to do?
