Do you have info on cat toenail problems?

Hi, I’m ready to take my cat to the vet, but wanted to see if someone out there had advice. 3 toes on my cat’s back foot have black-ish “cuticles.” It’s the area between the hard part of the nail and the toe, like the cuticle on humans.
It doesn’t seem to hurt him, but it’s not like his other happy healthy toes which are white. I think it has only occurred in the last month or so.

Have it checked, but I wouldn’t worry about it. Cats are strange creatures. At least mine certainly is!
Well my cats are black sometimes. Other times they are just normal. Been that way for the 7 almost 8 years I have had her. She’s just fine~ I guess you could get it checked out just incase though!
Are you sure its not embedded dirt (my cat gets that all the time – just at the cuticles). If it is, you can scrape it off with your fingernails (if your cat will let you). The only other thing I can think off is possible ringworm which can be picked up by cats who have access to dirty gardens.
