Any cat owners that own a cat with severe asthma?

Watching your cat in distress to breathe is so scary. My cat has had asthma for over two years with bad lungs to begin with. How well does everyone’s cat handle an inhaler? My boy cat does very well with it but I am curious how other cats handle it.
I am a veterinary tech and I have gone to the vet a lot as you can see. My cat is on steriods to keep his lungs open and Flovent inhaler twice a day. I bring him to work every few months for chest x-rays, etc. The reason for asking this questions was to how how many loving cat owners out there has an asthmatic cat and what drugs they are on.

How do know unless you go to the vet? They can give you meds, so why wait so long? That is not right!!! Also, it might be a heart condition
one of my cats has asthma, he does very well with an inhaler
keeping a window cracked in the winter (large enough gap for him to get his head in) helps alot when you got the heat on and the air in the house gets dry (my cat likes this better than a humidifier)
also, a humidifier works well too
if the attacks are becoming frequent or hes having a really bad day, put a damp towel with vicks vapor rub on it, on top of a heating pad set at “low heat”, place where ever you cats favorite place to lay around is, when he lays around on it, it will help open his airways and ease the pressure in his lungs (my cat loves this remedy)
